Third party only car insurance protects you against claims from third parties. If you are involved in an accident and damage someone else’s car you will be liable to pay for damage unless you have third party cover.
If you have third party only car insurance you are not covered for damage or theft of your own vehicle but at least you are protected if you accidentally cause damage to someone else’s vehicle.
